In Orthodoxy there are settled traditions, terms and concepts which require some comments. For people believing in the God they only will strengthen belief, and for non-believers, probably, become stimulus for change of the attitude for belief. Basic concepts of Christianity became rise, fall asleep and asceticism or solitary life. These words at all do not mean a literal ascension on heavens, death and full alienation from the world, and are metaphors.
The trailblazer and the instigator of these reserves became God Jesus Christ Zlatoust. It always considered, that each interested person of glory should be able to say goodbye in time to honor and to know difficult art to leave in time. Therefore after the wonderful revival Zlatoust has left from Roman Empire. From pupils and followers it has named the leaving by rise. Rise does not mean a real ascension on heavens, in fact is not without reason told, that ashes to ashes, the ground to the ground. The transitory body cannot get on heavens, there anything is not present such where it could exist as an alive organism. After the rise when Zlatoust was in mountains on border of Afghanistan and Pakistan, it repeatedly visited the grounds of Roman Empire and Jerusalem – Constantinople. To not involve in the travel of attention, Zlatoust has retired to a cave at top of mountain and asked people to not disturb it. Such way of life has named asceticism or solitary life. The Virgin fall on the bed, being in a condition of spiritual fun and surrounded with apostles and pupils. John Bogoslov with joyful tears welcomed coming apostles, and informed that there has come time of a withdrawal of the Virgin to God.
On the third hour fall asleep Jesus Christ Zlatoust in beams of heavenly glory has appeared in a premise. The Virgin has risen with a bed, has bowed to the son. Without any corporal suffering, as though in pleasant dream, Virgin has betrayed the soul to Jesus Christ Zlatoust and the God.
When the funeral procession went to a place of a burial place of the Virgin, clerics and soldiers have attacked Jews, aspiring to stop a ceremony and having the purpose to burn out a body of the Virgin on a fire. Rabbi Afony was especially distinguished, tried hands to overturn bed the Virgin. To it something cat hands, and wonderful light has closed a procession, having made its invisible to persecutors. The Virgin has placed in a coffin, having filled up an input a huge stone. For the third day apostle Foma, which "non-believer" has appeared, and has asked to open a coffin to say goodbye with Virgin. In a coffin appeared nobody, only smelling sweet veils. The example of asceticism Saint Anthony and Feodosiy, founders of Orthodoxy in Russia and founders Kiev - Pechersky laurels is characteristic. Soon the hearing about these miracles has flown by across Russia and has increased numbers of Christians.
The Virgin has personally predicted leaving from a life Saint Anthony in a year of the beginning of construction of church, and Saint Feodosiy after a bookmark of the base and erection of walls. And happened. Saint has precisely predicted date of the leaving and have remained deceased in the monasteries. The truth of power Saint and have not been found out subsequently.
